Toronto Café Walk is a cozy social series where a small group of founders, solopreneurs and creatives explore hand-picked cafés across the city and meet each other in a way that feels human.

Toronto has incredible cafés, and some of the best ones you'd never stumble into on your own. Each walk, I take a small group to a hidden gem I've been wanting to share, then maybe a second spot if the group is feeling it.
No agenda, no awkward intros. Just good drinks, good company and a slower start to the day.
Gather
We meet at a set spot and walk to our first café together.
Settle in
Grab a drink or a pastry, find a table, chat at your own pace.
Wander on
If the group feels like it, we stroll to a second spot.
Founders, solopreneurs and creatives who spend a lot of time working solo and want real connection without the networking-event energy. New to Toronto? Very welcome. Just like a good flat white? Also welcome.
A hidden gem café or two that you probably didn't know existed
Your next favourite spot to work, meet clients or just think
A small group of like-minded people in a genuinely relaxed setting
A few new connections you actually want to keep in touch with

Hello I'm Michelle! A former B2B SaaS marketer turned Intuitive Business Strategist, and a connector, creator and curator at heart. But most people know me as the "café girl" in Toronto :) I curated and shared the Toronto Café Guide back in January 2026 which went a little viral on LinkedIn.
In late April 2026, my friends told me they were doing wellness events for Toronto Tech Week which got me thinking what can I contribute to the community that's not a 20-page slide deck workshop. Since I didn't have the capacity to create something like that. So I thought a café walk would be a nice extension of my curated café guide!
Also, because around the same time, most of my healthcare practitioners told me I should walk more since I work from home most of the time. I also was eager to share with others all the hidden gem cafés I personally loved around the city. It's also my way to support local small businesses who could use the extra boost in the current economic climate that we are in.
The walks are also hinging on the simple belief that the right environment changes how you think, who you meet, and how you show up for a community. This is my way of bringing people into spaces worth knowing about and into each other's orbits.
A few moments from past walks.
My bigger vision for this event series is to create a modern village and part of it is to cross-pollinate through collaborating with others so new people can meet each other and resources can flow between everyone.

The Toronto Café Guide is a living database of 200+ cafés across Toronto, Scarborough, Richmond Hill and Markham: places I've personally worked from, plus ones still on my to-visit list. No sponsorships. Just honest shares from a solopreneur who frequents a lot of cafés.
